Opening The New Year With A Trip To Madagascar
Founder Roland Bischof starts the new year and shares his experiences in Madagascar amidst the start of a new social project he’s been working on!
A couple of months ago I was in Madagascar preparing our social project with our foundation Deutscher Fussball Botschafter, Bund Deutscher Fußball-Lehrer e.V., and Gernot Rohr, head coach of the Benin football team.
Now he sent me the video of the “handoverparty” (football material) he organized for the people afterwards. Phantastic!
During my time here, I got to know the Madagascans as very friendly and cheerful people who live in a desperately poor country. So it was all the more a pleasure for me to get involved with our joint project here! It’s always nice to see when 100% of the help arrives – a goal that we consistently pursue with the German Football Ambassador. By the way, did you know that almost all the inhabitants of Madagascar (the fourth largest island in the world) are descendants of a basic population of around thirty women? Somehow everyone here is related (closely or distantly) to everyone else… Personally, I will definitely be back! Happy New Year!
