Klaus Staerk and the initiative “GERMAN FOOTBALL AMBASSADOR” support the project NFA Galz and Goals in Namibia.
Strong together
The program “NFA Galz and Goals” was founded in 2009 by the United Nations International Children´s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and the Namibian Football Association (NFA). Due to the project more Namibian girls and women are getting encouraged to sports. Sports are used as a platform to draw attention to health and social responsibility. Furthermore thousands of girls and young women in schools are getting supported.
Enlightenment due to communication and organization
The tasks of the partnership between UNICEF and the NFA are among others the development of a curriculum for the communication between teachers, coaches and partners as well as the teachings of a healthy lifestyle. The curriculum also includes enlightenment and information transfer about HIV/AIDS, drugs, alcohol, abuse and discrimination by gender.
