The project "Future Local" Genkids, launched by Kenjihiko Ohtahara, president of NPO Corporation's "Two Campsite Locals" and Gert Engels, concentrated on children affected by the tsunami and nuclear disaster.
After the earthquake in eastern Japan on March 11, 2011, the living environment of many people has changed completely. However, while the restoration of the city and the rebuilding of the economic environment has been steadily promoted, it is also a fact that the living environment of the children that need to be protected has unfortunately been postponed.
The project “Future Local” Genkids, launched by Kenjihiko Ohtahara, president of NPO Corporation’s “Two Campsite Locals” and Gert Engels, concentrated on children affected by the tsunami and nuclear disaster.
The origin of the project was Mr. Gert Engels. It was developed based on football education activities in African countries by the NPO organization “Auf Ballhöhe” based in Germany. In addition, the German Football Association has shown its full support.
Above all the connection between sport, culture and education stands with this project in the forefront. It also aims to promote pioneers who will be responsible for the future reconstruction of the earthquake.
