By promoting acceptance and inclusion, aiming to create a better world for everyone: Franco Foda supports Special Olympics Austria with his prize money for being nominated for the German Football Ambassador Awards 2022.
Already during his active career, the DFB Cup winner (1. FC Kaiserslautern, Bayer 04 Leverkusen) Franco Foda was drawn to Austria to SK Sturm Graz, where he celebrated great successes as a player and later as a coach. For example, Foda was directly involved in all of Graz’s championship titles either as a player or coach. From 2017 to 2022, the Mainz-born football coach successfully managed Austria’s national team, winning its first game at a European Championship tournament and making it to the last 16 of the 2021 European Championship.
With his commitment, Franco Foda supports the branch of the largest international sports movement for people with intellectual disabilities. His commitment is that there is better participation in social life through sport.
