We visited Eckhard Krautzun, Michael Nees und Jürgen Klinsmann to get some insights of thier work and life abroad.
Michael Nees has been active worldwide for more than 15 years. From 2008 to 2012 he was commissioned by the German Olympic Sports Confederation, the Foreign Office and the German Football Association in South Africa working as a technical advisor. Nees has been coaching the U-21 national team of Israel since 2013 and is also technical director of the association.
Eckhard Krautzun became coach of the Kenyan Football Federation in 1970. He was active in Canada, Japan, Malaysia and Tunisia also. Krautzun celebrated his greatest success in Tunisia by reaching the qualification for the World Cup in 2002. Eckhard Krautzun also enjoys a great reputation in China where he worked from 2002 until 2007.
Jurgen played for Inter Milan, AC Monaco, Tottenham Hotspur, Sampdoria Genoa and Orange Country, and during this time he was active as a “German Football Ambassador” and helped to shape the positive image of German football in the world. Since mid of 2011 Jürgen Klinsmann has been the trainer of the USA National Team. He won the CONCAF cup in July 2013 and reached the quartfinal of the world cup 2014 in Brazil.
