AWARD CEREMONY 2025 TO TAKE PLACE AS PART OF THE “SPORT MARKE MEDIEN” CONFERENCE IN MUNICH
This year’s annual award ceremony of the German Football Ambassador Association will take place on 1 December 2025 as part of the ‘Sport Marke Medien’ conference in Munich.
Traditionally, the ceremony is held in May at the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin. However, due to the early federal elections, it had to be rescheduled and relocated. Munich was chosen as the venue for 2025, also with a view to the introduction of a fourth award category planned for 2026, which will be presented there.
Awards will once again be presented in three categories. Last year, these went to Ralf Rangnick (main prize), Andreas Brehme (posthumously), Lothar Matthäus (honorary prize) and Toni Kroos (audience award). The names of this year’s winners will be announced in the run-up to the event.
This year, for the first time, participants in the ‘Sport Marke Medien’ fair will also be able to attend the awards ceremony as part of the conference programme. Following the official part of the event, a get-together will provide an opportunity for exchange and networking.
