German Football Ambassador Mr. Zvonc, you are working for the Greenworld Football Academy in Heshan, China. Tell us about your daily involvement?
Alexander Zvonc My areas of responsibility are coaching, the implementation of our training philosophy and the formulation of a long-term trainings plan. I am also responsible for our future alignment regarding sports.
German Football Ambassador What are the main goals of the academy?
Alexander Zvonc We want to promote football in Heshan and help young talents to develop in a professional surrounding. In the future we would like to extend our area of activity.
German Football Ambassador What are the strengths of Chinese junior players? How is the training being organized in the academy and what is the main focus?
Alexander Zvonc The basic speed and a high level of comprehension are definitely the strengths in my opinion. In general we offer a holistic training experience, but also do have a focus on technique and skills.
German Football Ambassador How is your involvement being seen in the local community?
Alexander Zvonc The steady increase of kids and parents who are interested in our program, but also a high number of schools that want to cooperate with us, shows us that our basic ideas are beeing welcomed in the community.
German Football Ambassador What is your vision regarding this involvement? Are there any values you are trying to convey as a coach?
Alexander Zvonc First of all I see my task as a long term project. I believe that the development of young players is more of a marathon, rather than a sprint. My values are clear: I urge a passionate team spirit, open communication and promote success-oriented ideas.
German Football Ambassador Are there any exchange programs with german clubs or the german football federation? Will you be offering any kinds of training camps?
Alexander Zvonc Currently we are working with Hannover 96, but we are also constantly in contact with other german clubs regarding future cooperations. Yes, we are definitely planing on promoting the exchange of knowledge and will be implementing mutual training and summer camps.
German Football Ambassador The Chinese government invests in football by building new training centers and cultivating new coaches and players. How did the Chinese football change in the past three years?
Alexander Zvonc I would say that the basic interest in football did grow immensely. Consequently many schools now want to implement professional football training in their programs.
